Origin Of Ayurveda

Ayurveda is originated at the time of the Vedic Era. Our Vedas mentioned Ayurveda and its healing properties for many human sufferings. After the invasion of Britishers, practising Ayurveda was reduced and only conserved by the rural outskirts of India where a traditional form of living was maintained.

After Independence, Unani and Siddha Medicinal practices were recreated and accepted by the government.

Principles Of Ayurveda

Ayurveda is based on five basic elements called panchamahabhutas namely space, fire, water, air and earth along with the human body which is composed of vata, pitta and kapha which is described as prakruti. These three are responsible for the creation, maintenance and destruction, of bodily tissues as well as assimilation and elimination.
